Turning Regulation into Strategy: Navigating DORA with Confidence
Watch the latest episode of Wealth Insider as we unpack what the Digital Operational Resilience Act truly requires from regulated financial entities, and how you can transform compliance into a strategic advantage.
REPORTING ENHANCEMENTS
Smarter Reporting Across Costs, Compliance, and Returns
Our latest reporting updates focus on three essential areas: cost transparency, regulatory compliance, and performance analysis. With these changes, you’ll be able to deliver clearer reports to both clients and regulators:
- Quarterly Report: We’ve improved the accuracy of cost data and adjusted how direct costs are broken down, offering more precise insight into client charges. Additional reporting fields have also been added to enhance transparency.
- Compliance Reports: Our enhanced compliance reporting tools are now live, giving you expanded capabilities and more granular control over what’s tracked and submitted.
- Returns Overview Report: Recent fixes and performance upgrades ensure faster access to return data and a more seamless reporting experience.
These improvements reflect our ongoing work to simplify cost, compliance, and returns reporting across your entire client base.
PRODUCTIVITY & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS
Better Performance for Manual Pricing and Fixed Income Instruments
Every second counts when managing high volumes of portfolio data. This month, we’ve made improvements to instrument handling and laid the groundwork for upcoming performance leaps:
- Manually Priced Instruments: Backend updates now support more efficient handling of manually priced instruments, improving responsiveness and consistency across views and reports.
- Fixed Income: We’ve made improvements to how coupons are generated for fixed income instruments, streamlining historical data where needed.
These updates are early steps in our broader performance initiative. Initial signs already show significant speed and stability improvements.
PLATFORM & INFRASTRUCTURE
Smarter Integrations, Stronger Foundations
As your operations grow, so does the need for infrastructure that scales with you. Therefore, we have focused on strengthening the foundation behind your day-to-day tools, making it easier to operate efficiently and support more clients without added complexity.
Custodian Service Improvements
We’ve made several behind-the-scenes upgrades to improve how custodian data is processed and integrated:
- Simplified entity creation, reducing manual steps when setting up new clients, portfolios, or accounts
- Automated health checks that proactively detect data issues
- Enhanced error handling to support even smoother and more resilient integration flows
- Monitoring upgrades to maintain stable processing of large data volumes
- Early groundwork laid for auto-creating client entities based on incoming custodian data
FIX Gateway Expansion
We continue to grow our trading connectivity, now adding expanded support for Interactive Brokers and Van Lanschot Kempen:
- New scheduling options let you tailor trading windows beyond standard weekday setups
- We’re adding approximately one new FIX gateway monthly, helping you connect faster with more providers
Together, these enhancements contribute to a more unified and efficient wealth management ecosystem, built to scale alongside your business.
THE DIGITAL OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE ACT
New DORAedge Features
The DORAedge platform released a couple of new features this month to improve continuous ICT-network monitoring and compliance operations and incident reporting requirements:
- Incidents are now reflected on Provider records for historical tracking and ongoing management of third-party ICT providers.
- Contracts have Statuses including Active and Expired that are automatically assigned based upon Contract End Dates. Users can also Archive and Restore Contracts for the purposes of including or excluding them from the Register of Information report.
- Non-major incidents now have the option to observe relaxed reporting time limits, mirroring DORA’s requirement for internal tracking with no obligation to submit reports to competent authorities.
- Forms show an “Exit” button when a record is both created, and a previously saved version is edited. “Save without changes” appears in the final step to close the form when no edits were made.
