THE DIGITAL OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE ACT

April in Review

Despite the DORA regulation going into effect at the start of the year, April marked a flurry as many regulated financial entities across jurisdictions in the EU submitted their Register of Information report(s) for the first time. Our DORAedge team is very proud to have enabled a number of organizations, many of which are global groups, to achieve the milestone of successfully submitting valid reports to their competent authorities.

How DORAedge Supported First Submissions

DORAedge enables regulated financial entities to easily catalog their information communication technology (ICT) network in a sleek and simple-to-use interface. The record forms in the platform establish the link between Entities/Branches, their critical Functions, ICT Assets, and the ICT providers that enable them to execute their licensed activities, and this data is transformed into and validated per the Supervisory Authority's Data Point Model. Teams then exported their Register of Information in the correct file format for submission to Competent Authorities, in most cases, via their online portals.

Beyond Initial Reporting

Unlike pure file conversion tools, with their Entity Structure and ICT network documented in DORAedge, risk, compliance, and IT teams within these regulated financial entities can now monitor and manage these dependencies proactively and continuously - all while setting themselves up for efficient future Register of Information submissions, by on-demand request of competent authorities or during the next official submission period.

Ongoing Compliance with DORAedge

Of course, compliance with the DORA regulation does not stop with the annual reporting of your entity's Register of Information. DORAedge is an effective tool, built 100% for compliance with the DORA regulation, to ensure that risk and compliance teams at regulated entities of all sizes, and all parts of the financial sector, have the support they need to ensure continuous compliance. Beyond developing the Register for reporting, teams can identify their key Functions, track and assess their Providers and Contracts, monitor their ICT Assets, monitor Risks, ensure governance with Policy-alignment with the regulation, and log and report on Incidents, all in one place.
